Sean "Puff Daddy" Combs a vécu dans le quartier d'Harlem et à Mount Vernon dans l'état de New York. Il fait ses débuts en devenant la star de la direction artistique chez Uptown Records. Il sort son premier album, pour s'exprimer et montrer qui il est vraiment. No Way Out comporte quatorze titres musclés. Il participe ensuite à la BO de Godzilla avec Come With Me. En 1999, il livre Forever, son deuxième album. Courant 2001, il change de nom et se fait appeler P. Diddy et sort le disque The Saga Continues... En 2006, il change à nouveau de nom et souhaite désormais se faire appeler Diddy. C'est cette année là qu'il livre le disque Press Play.
